Choosing Soap According to Skin Type

Not all soaps are suitable for all skin types. If you choose the wrong soap, your skin might become dull and irritated. Therefore, before buying soap, it’s good to recognize your skin type first. The following are guidelines for choosing soap based on skin type:

Dry skin

Dry skin can be marked by the presence of fine scales, or tight feeling like being drawn to the skin after bathing. Sometimes it can cause itching.

So that the skin does not get dry, it is recommended to shower twice a day with a gentle cleanser and does not contain much detergent. Can also use soap that has a moisturizer content.

In addition to cleaning the skin, moisturized soap will leave a moisturizing layer on the surface of the skin. And does not cause a sense of roughness after being rinsed.

Acne skin

Acne prone skin tends to be oily. Use a foamy cleanser that is oil-free, non-comedogenic, and contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to help reduce acne. Cleaning the body or face can be done 2-3 times a day.

Sensitive skin

Sensitive skin easily irritates or reds. Therefore, avoid contact with soap too often. With extreme daily activities, cleaning the skin once a day is enough.

Do not use cleaning products that contain fragrances or alcohol, to keep sensitive skin healthy. The use of moisturized soap is recommended, because it can increase the ‘defense’ on sensitive skin.

By choosing the right soap, your skin condition will always be healthy, soft, and beautiful.
